AGENCY HISTORY
| The agency was started in 1939 by Ed Jones. It was known as Jones Insurance Agency and was located at 119 8th Avenue in Wellman, Iowa. It was purchased in 1986, by Shawn Powell, from Lowell McFadden (McFadden Insurance Agency), and became Southeast Iowa Insurance Services Corp on July 1, 1987. Many of Mr. Jones and Mr McFadden's clients are still insured with the agency today. On August 1, 2001 we acquired the Hooley Agency in Wellman. Southeast Iowa Insurance employs 4 licensed agents. Shawn Powell, Cindy Marner, Sue Kempf,and Pam Bender. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12 noon and 1 :00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. The agency moved from its original location in 1995. It is now located in Powell Professional Building at 214 8 Avenue Wellman, IA. The current location is more accessible to clients and provides a spacious and pleasant work environment. The agency offers many lines of insurance including Home, Auto, Inland Marine, Farm, Commercial, Crop, Life and Health. |
